The inner man is where renewal takes place. It is not renewed by natural wisdom. While the outward man may grow through human knowledge, the inner man feeds only on God’s mysteries, His wisdom, and worship with the Father. As we allow the Holy Spirit to build up our inner man, the outward man can become a servant instead of the boss.
