The Old Testament contains the laws of how the Jewish people were to walk with God. The covenant they had was as men who where not born again. God made one last covenant with the man Jesus who fulfilled all the requirements of the old laws. We do not have a covenant with God, we have a birth certificate because we are born of Him.
